About Me |
Hi, I'm Elvie,
I’m a Chartered Educational Psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council, and a member of the Association of Educational Psychologists. After completing my MEd in Educational Psychology at the University of Exeter in 1984, I began my career with Somerset County Council. Since moving into independent practice, I’ve worked directly with families and schools, offering individual assessments, consultancy, and training across a wide range of educational and developmental needs. Over the years, I’ve delivered training to teachers, schools, and even business organisations—covering everything from special educational needs to leadership and personal development. My passion has always been helping children and young people reach their potential. I approach each assessment with care and curiosity—taking the time to understand not just the challenges a child may be facing, but who they are as a person. For me, it’s about looking at the full picture: their strengths, their environment, and the best ways to support their growth both emotionally and academically. |
