As a parent you will be concerned to ensure your child gains the maximum benefit from their school years.
You might want to know how your child is developing and assess their strengths and weaknesses. You may have other genuine concerns about their emotional and behavioural wellbeing and academic achievements which you may want to explore in more depth.
Some children can be apprehensive about the first meeting, but they quickly relax and enjoy the assessment.
The whole procedure is confidential but you may wish to pass the written report on to your child’s school.
