ASSESSMENTs
I work with students of all ages. It is not just children who require diagnostics for learning support. Often adults too may need literacy and numeracy support to reach their full potential in the workplace and beyond. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any queries you may have about your own learning.
Assessments are carried out either at the school or our offices. Initially, time is spent gathering information including background details, the nature of the concerns, developmental history and school/learning progress.
This is followed by a structured interview with the student which can include exploration on any or all of the following:
-
Cognitive Functions
-
Literacy & Maths Skills
-
Behavioural & Emotional Functions
-
Personality Profiles
-
Learning Styles
Feedback is given to the student throughout and to parents/school staff immediately following the assessment. It often comprises a summary of the findings and the general conclusions of the assessment. Recommendations and suggestions will be made on how best to proceed given the student’s school and home circumstances.
A written report on the assessment will be provided. This will give details on all the factors that emerged at assessment, summarise findings and make recommendations.
